Biography

"Melalui peran ilmu biokimia fisika, biomolekul dari bakteri halofil dapat dimodifikasi sifat fisiko kimianya melalui modifikasi kimia/fisika agar dicapai kinerja dan stabilitas lebih baik ketika diaplikasikan di berbagai bidang."

Prof. Dr. Rukman Hertadi, S.Si., M.Si. is a Professor of Physical Biochemistry at Institut Teknologi Bandung. Currently serving as the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FMIPA ITB, he leads a dedicated research group focused on uncovering the potential of Indonesian extremophilic bacteria. His academic journey began at ITB for his Bachelor's and Master's degrees, followed by a Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 2003.

Kelompok riset Prof. Rukman Hertadi fokus pada studi biomaterial yang diisolasi dari bakteri halofilik dan aplikasinya di berbagai bidang termasuk energi, kesehatan, dan kosmetik.

With over 899 citations and 35+ research papers, Prof. Hertadi has made significant contributions to the field of biochemistry, particularly in the exploration of biomolecules from halophilic bacteria and their applications in various industries including energy, healthcare, and cosmetics.
