Prototypes & Products
Research-driven innovations and applied biotechnology solutions developed from our laboratory.
Biodegradable Polymers and Green Materials
We have developed biodegradable bioplastics based on polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHB/PHA) produced by halophilic and extremophilic microorganisms. These materials are designed for environmental resilience, tunable mechanical properties, and compatibility with circular bioeconomy frameworks, including applications in sustainable packaging and agricultural materials.
Biostimulants and Sustainable Agricultural Inputs
Our research has led to the formulation of seaweed- and microbe-based biostimulants, designed to enhance plant growth, stress tolerance, and agricultural productivity. These products support sustainable farming practices and align with national and global initiatives in food security and blue economy development.
Nanobiomaterials for Health and Biomedical Applications
Our group has generated multiple nanoparticle and nanocomposite prototypes for biomedical use.
Approach: These products are developed through rational molecular design and supported by in vitro, in silico, and formulation studies.
Nano-enabled drug and insulin delivery systems, Vaccine-related protective and storage materials, Bioactive nanoparticles for antimicrobial and skin protection applications
Functional Nanocomposites and Advanced Formulations
We develop hybrid nanocomposites, combining bio-derived polymers, biosurfactants, and inorganic components, for applications ranging from antibacterial materials to protective coatings and functional membranes. These systems emphasize performance, environmental safety, and scalability.
